Meals will be served buffet-style in our dinning hall with private dining rooms available for groups upon request. We will also accommodate food allergies and dietary restrictions with advance notice to ensure a safe and enjoyable dining experience for all guests.
Pastoral Getaways
At Word of Life's Jenness Park facility, we are honored to serve pastors by providing a peaceful mountain setting designed for rest, renewal, and reflection. Our pastor retreats include comfortable housing with access to all the natural beauty of the Sierra Nevada, while giving guests the flexibility to prepare their own meals by bringing their own food. With miles of trails, quiet spaces for prayer, and the freedom to unplug from daily demands, these retreats offer a much-needed opportunity for ministry leaders to recharge spiritually and physically."
Please note the following guidelines:
- Length of Stay: Pastoral getaways should be no more than three nights.
- Who Can Stay: Ruby House is reserved for pastors and their immediate family (those currently living under your roof).
- Accommodations: The house includes one queen bed and four twin beds upstairs.
- Holiday Availability: Pastoral stays are welcome during Thanksgiving, but not available during Christmas.
- Family Gatherings: Extended family visits or reunions — including parents, married children, or cousins — are not considered pastoral getaways and do not qualify for the pastoral rate.
- Lodging Rates: Only Ruby House qualifies for the pastoral rate. Any additional lodging needed will be billed at the standard rate.
